History & Production: Haiti is renowned for producing some of the highest-quality vetiver in the world, thanks to its ideal climate and fertile soil. Vetiver essential oil is extracted from the roots of the Chrysopogon zizanioides plant through a steam distillation process. The roots are carefully harvested, cleaned, and dried before distillation, resulting in an oil with a distinct, rich scent. Vetiver has been used for centuries in perfumery and traditional medicine for its calming and grounding properties.
