WOODY SMOKY NOTES
Woody smoky notes suggest wood threaded with smoke: a dry, dark impression that may recall smouldering timber or a trace of incense. Some interpretations lean towards resin or leather, while others let smoother woods soften the smoky edge. Smoke is part of the scent image; the term does not mean that wood has been burnt inside the perfume.
This effect can add contrast to sweet amber or flowers, or become the central theme of a woody composition. It may be created with materials that already have smoky facets or with a composed accord, without one universal ingredient list. The amount of smoke matters as much as the accompanying notes: a faint veil and a dense smoky fragrance can feel very different. Neither intensity nor lasting power follows from the label alone.
