WHITE PAPER ACCORD
White paper accord is a perfumer’s interpretation of the smell and texture associated with pages. It may feel dry and softly woody, with a powdery, musky or faintly waxy surface. The appeal is often the suggestion of a sheet or page rather than an obvious flower or fruit. Different versions can evoke a blank page, parchment or a well-handled book; ink is a separate possible accent, not something the name necessarily includes.
An accord combines materials to create a shared impression, so this label is not a declaration of paper or cellulose in the formula. Pale woods, soft musks or warmer notes around it can make the effect crisp, cushioned or gently sweet. There is no standard white-paper recipe, and the note does not dictate a minimalist composition, a fixed position in the fragrance or a particular level of projection.
