VANILLA FLOWER
Vanilla flower is a floral way of presenting vanilla in a fragrance. Think of soft petals with a gentle creamy sweetness, rather than assuming the full richness of cured vanilla pods. Perfume houses use the name in floral compositions: Farmacia SS. Annunziata, for example, describes vanilla flower and orchid together as a creamy floral accord.
This is a scent description, not a specification for an extract from the living flower. The familiar vanilla aroma of natural pod materials develops through preparation after harvest, and the flower note should not automatically inherit their production story. Its construction can vary from one perfume to another. It may connect a bouquet to a sweeter background, or give a gourmand composition a more floral emphasis. The name alone cannot tell you which aroma materials were used or how long the resulting fragrance lasts.
