VANILLA CO₂ (MADAGASCAR)

Madagascar vanilla CO₂ combines two clues: vanilla pods from Madagascar and extraction using carbon dioxide. Its scent can show a sweet, powdery side alongside warm balsamic depth, with darker leathery and spicy nuances. This range is documented for LMR’s Madagascan material; it offers a more layered reference than the smell of vanilla cream alone.

The pods come from Vanilla planifolia, but their origin need not be the place where the extract is made. LMR describes processing at its facility in France. Carbon dioxide acts as an extracting solvent under controlled conditions, so “CO₂” should not be read as “made without solvents or heat”. Preparations also vary: a CO₂-derived absolute can undergo further processing. In perfume, this note may make sweetness feel deeper beside woods or resins, while the formula determines how much of its darker side is noticeable.
