TRANSPARENT FLOWERS

Transparent flowers describe a sheer floral effect: the impression of petals with air and space around them. The emphasis is on clarity and freshness rather than a dense bouquet. Depending on the perfume, it may suggest dewy flowers or a delicate floral layer through which fruit, woods or other notes remain noticeable.

This is a descriptive category, not a flower species or a single extract. Parfums de Marly uses the phrase around a rose-centred composition, while Balenciaga applies it to a minimalist floral theme with a tulip accord and a tea reference. These different settings show why the name cannot identify a fixed set of blossoms or a standard recipe. Transparent describes the way the floral impression is presented; it does not establish a fragrance’s concentration, lasting power or natural-ingredient content.
