SEA NOTES

Sea notes describe a family of marine impressions rather than one ingredient. They can suggest water spray, open coastal air or a saline shoreline, sometimes with greener, mossier depth. One perfume may feel transparent and breezy; another may bring seaweed and darker wood into the picture. The term does not impose a firm boundary between marine, aquatic and ozonic styles.

Perfumers have different materials for these effects. Calone can supply a marine, airy character with floral undertones, while Floralozone offers a green fresh-air impression. Natural seaweed absolute can add a more mossy, vegetal coastal dimension. These are examples of available approaches, not a recipe present in every sea accord. Look at the accompanying flowers, herbs, woods and musks to understand whether a fragrance leans toward open-air freshness or a denser shoreline atmosphere.
