RED CHILLI

Red chilli in perfume evokes the pepper as a spicy idea: a suggestion of juicy flesh followed by drier warmth. That contrast is explicitly described by perfumer Olivier Cresp for Akro Heat, where citrus and ginger meet deeper spices, cedar and ambrox. It is a creative interpretation of chilli, not a statement that every chilli note has the same formula or makes the skin feel hot.

The theme can also sit among greener and floral notes. HUEMN x Olfa Originals lists red chilli with galbanum, basil and blackcurrant before flowers, patchouli and oud. These examples make the surrounding setting useful when choosing between a citrus-woody spice impression and a greener floral composition. The name does not require a smoky or dried-pepper character, identify an extraction method or establish a fixed position in every fragrance.
