ORANGE

Sweet orange oil, from Citrus sinensis, is commonly cold pressed from the fruit’s outer peel. Robertet describes its material as zesty and sugary, with a bright aldehydic facet. In a perfume, orange can add contrast to dry woods, echo the sweetness of a gourmand accord or brighten a floral composition. The surrounding materials determine the effect.
