NUTTY FRUITY NOTES
Nutty fruity notes describe a meeting of nut-like richness and fruit character. An almond-and-cherry impression is one possibility; another is a quieter, seed-like nuttiness with soft fruit underneath. The result may suggest a confection, but the label does not automatically mean caramel, pastry or an intensely sugary fragrance.
This is a scent description, not one ingredient or a fixed blend. Some materials already unite the two sides: Symrise describes benzaldehyde with almond and stone-fruit associations, while Givaudan’s ambrette seed material combines brief nutty facets with fruity musk. Perfumers can also compose the effect from several materials. The note alone specifies neither a particular nut or fruit nor their actual presence in the bottle.
