ISO E SUPER™ (CEDARWOOD NOTE)
Iso E Super is a synthetic fragrance ingredient with a smooth woody-amber character and a cedar-like tone. Its distinctive appeal is textural: it can suggest soft, velvety wood rather than a sharply cut timber edge. Here, amber describes a warm olfactory facet, while cedarwood is a scent comparison; neither means the material is cedarwood essential oil or fossil amber.
IFF describes the ingredient as giving fullness and subtle strength, including support for floral compositions. It can form part of a blended woody setting or become a prominent theme in its own right. Escentric Molecules likewise describes its cedar-like, warm and velvety character. The effect depends on the amount used and the surrounding formula.
