HERBAL TEA

Herbal tea in perfume evokes an infusion rather than one specific leaf or flower. It can suggest aromatic herbs, soft flowers or a gently powdery tea impression. The blend matters: a floral infusion and a rooibos-inspired fragrance need not smell alike. This note is therefore a useful direction to explore, rather than a promise of one recognizable tea recipe.

Perfume houses interpret the idea in different ways. Chasing Scents describes a herbal, floral and powdery composition using its own chrysanthemum and chamomile tea extracts. Demeter takes rooibos in a warmer, fruity direction with added fruit notes. These are particular approaches, not ingredients shared by every herbal-tea perfume. A note list alone does not reveal whether an extract is present. Look to the whole composition to judge whether its tea character feels flower-led, aromatic or sweet.
