HALWA (HALVA)

Halwa, also written halva, is a confection-inspired perfume note: think sweetness with a potentially nutty, softly rounded character. Sesame-based halva offers one reference, combining sugar with tahini, a paste of ground sesame seeds. That reference can suggest the richness of sweet sesame rather than a simple vanilla impression. It should not be treated as the recipe for every halwa note.

In perfumery, the name describes a dessert idea rather than one standardized aromatic material. A perfumer can place that sweetness among woods, rose or spices, making the contrast part of the finished scent. The surrounding notes matter: rose or cardamom listed alongside halwa are not automatically facets of halwa itself.
