FRESH SPICES

Fresh spices describes the brighter, more aromatic side of a spicy perfume. The impression may be zesty or cool-edged while still carrying warmth and sweetness. Cardamom helps illustrate that overlap: its extracts can combine fresh spice with warm, sweet and woody facets. Coriander seed oil offers another direction, with a spicy character that can also feel zesty and floral.

These are examples, not a recipe required by the note name. Fresh describes the scent impression rather than proving that newly picked spices were used. Different oils, extracts and composed effects can contribute to the result, so there is no single extraction method for this broad label. In a fragrance, fresh spices may connect aromatic brightness with warmer elements; their strength and place in the composition depend on the perfume.
