FLOWERS
Flowers is a broad note label for a perfume’s floral impression. It may suggest the freshness of lily of the valley, the fuller character of tuberose or gardenia, or a bouquet in which several flower ideas blend together. The label alone does not name the flowers or promise that the effect will be delicate, sweet or especially strong.
A floral perfume can be shaped with natural extracts and aroma molecules, either highlighting one flower or creating an imagined bouquet. The note is therefore different from a list of ingredients, and not every flower impression comes from distilled petals. When exploring fragrances described this way, look at the accompanying notes: they help explain whether the bouquet is presented in a fresh, leafy setting or a warmer, denser composition.
