DORAYAKI ACCORD

Dorayaki accord brings a softly sweet, cake-like idea to perfume, inspired by the Japanese confection with sweet red-bean filling between tender cooked cakes. The food supplies the reference for texture and sweetness; the fragrance translates that impression into scent. It need not resemble a strongly caramelised dessert or a vanilla-heavy pastry.

Floraïku describes the dorayaki accord in Gong as delicately sweet, with black pepper around its soft cake impression and citrus, benzoin and woods elsewhere in the composition. This shows how a gourmand note can sit within a fresher, spicy amber setting. It is one documented interpretation, not a recipe for every dorayaki accord. The name does not establish the presence of edible bean paste, honey or a particular aroma molecule, and the surrounding notes determine how sweet or airy the finished effect feels.
