Copaiba is a smooth balsamic note derived from the oleoresin of Copaifera trees native to South America. Its scent is soft, resinous, and gently woody, blending nuances of warm balsam, cedarwood, sweet resin, pepper, and delicate vanilla-like undertones. Unlike heavier balsams, Copaiba combines smooth warmth with remarkable transparency, creating an aroma that feels both comforting and refined. History & Production: Copaiba balsam is obtained by tapping the trunk of Copaifera trees, producing a fragrant oleoresin that is steam distilled when essential oil is desired. Rich in sesquiterpenes, it has long been valued in perfumery and aromatics. Copaiba blends beautifully with sandalwood, cedarwood, frankincense, patchouli, vanilla, benzoin, and labdanum, creating a soft balsamic signature—the scent of golden resin flowing from tropical hardwoods, warm, smooth, and quietly elegant.
