BRANDY

Brandy in perfume evokes the aromatic impression of a distilled spirit, bringing a boozy dimension to fruit, sweet notes or woods. A perfumer can recreate that impression as an accord rather than by adding the drink itself. Fruity brightness and softer, warmer facets can meet in this idea, so it need not feel uniformly heavy or syrupy.

The precise balance depends on the composition. Apple may highlight the fruit side, vanilla can round the sweetness, and woody surroundings may give a drier frame. These possibilities do not define every brandy accord or imply a single recipe. When choosing a fragrance, the surrounding notes help distinguish a crisp, fruit-led interpretation from a warmer, sweeter one; the word brandy alone does not settle that choice.
