BLACKCURRANT CO₂

Blackcurrant CO₂ can bring a lively fruit impression with fresh green facets and a softer, rounded underside. A documented perfumery extract from blackcurrant buds also shows floral touches, creaminess and resinous warmth. This gives a useful picture of cassis beyond a purely sharp berry note: the green character can coexist with a gentler texture, depending on the material and its setting.

The CO₂ label describes extraction using carbon dioxide. In the documented fragrance material, the starting plant part is the bud of Ribes nigrum. It should not be confused with a fruit juice or a standard essential oil. The process name alone does not promise a perfectly complete reproduction of the plant, a solvent-free process or better longevity. Its effect in a finished perfume depends on the specific extract and composition.
