Blackcurrant brings a vivid berry impression, balancing juicy sweetness with a tart edge. A green, aromatic undertone can make it feel like fruit still attached to a leafy branch, rather than a simple berry sweet. Also called cassis, blackcurrant is associated with Ribes nigrum. The general note name does not specify which material is used.
